I had been looking for a purebred golden laced wyandotte rooster for a while to go with my golden laced hens.
This guy told him he is purebred golden laced so i took his word for it.
After comparing him to other roosters of the same breed online and looking at my hens, he doesn't seem golden laced, more like blue laced?
Please tell me i'm wrong and that he is an actual golden laced rooster.
Thank you.

Here is our GLW rooster and hen. Not sure how old - forgot to look at the date. But you can see the male has nice lacing on the chest and on the wings. He did not have show quality lacing, however - but he did look nice and he had a very good disposition.

Sorry you didn't get what you wanted. The ones in my pic came from Sandhill Preservation, in 2019.

His legs are yellow but just faded. I will guess this is diet. Supplement corn and leafy greens. As for quality, he might have better lacing than he appears to when his feathers grow back. Almost all of them are broken. I'm not even sure he's black laced red when he just has halves of feathers and the one that's not broken does look to be gold... Hopefully after the molt it will be more clear!

I did not think his legs were pink.
However, I do think he is poor quality. Not due to the lacing or feathering as during a molt isn't a good time to judge- but due to his comb and body shape.

His comb is very messy and large. And his body shape looks very tall and slim, where as wyandottes are supposed to be very round birds. Lots of curves.

If you are still looking we are in need of a place to rehome our 14 week old golden laced Wyandotte rooster. We bought him from Meyer Hatchery under the assumption he was a pullet. Not sure where you are located but we’re in the greater Charlotte, NC area!

Hi,

Sorry for the late response.
Thank you for the offer but i'm moving on from chickens, had too many deaths recently due to multiple diseases.
Mentally I'm exhausted.
