Very comforting to be aware there are still people in this world willing to help/assist others, great that it occurs with more and more frequency here on BYC. [IMG]

I know, one of the MANY things I like about BYC! [IMG]

[IMG] I didn't think I had to worry much about people stealing photos! Wow.. I know I'll be watermarking my pictures from now on. No fun. [IMG] I'm sorry that happened. I really hope that person will cooperate with you. I'll definitely be checking back on this thread and supporting you!

I'd contact their webhost and advise that their client has unauthorized use of your photographs.

    http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/fermeklassique.com

Their domain is through "MELBOURNE IT, LTD. D/B/A INTERNET NAMES WORLDWIDE"
    http://www.melbourneit.com
    http://www.melbourneit.com.au/contacts/index

Looks like yahoo.com is part too:
    [email protected]

All the info you should need is in the first link.

    ETA: Her IP information: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?ip=216.39.57.105
    You
can send an email to Altavista as well.

(FWIW, if you have a website and want to see what is shown if you don't pay the $10 or so for "Privacy" - here it is. Name, address, phone, IP, Domain, Hosting, everything. If you do not like this info out for the world, then $10 is a good idea [IMG] )

  8. Quote:EXCELLENT, thank you! I have sent even more emails, now! I'm hoping that someone else can help me try to contact those who have also had their photos stolen?? I've been unsuccessful and the emails I tried to send last night came back as undeliverable?

I'd send links of the photos that are stolen and explain that your research is showing the IP/webhost/domain's client is using your photos unauthorized and possibly many other photos unauthorized. I believe the hosts are obligated to notify the person, and they may remove the photos or shut her site down. I don't know if you can get the rest removed without the owner (of the photos) information, but it could show a track record (ie, X photo is from X website, Y photo is from Y, etc.) They could possibly claim they were authorized if the other party can't be reached, but for your photos, I believe they must take them down - either the client or the IP.

Sometimes people can ignore personal emails, but they can't ignore when their IP shuts them down.

    ETA:
I'd email all of the IP/hosts at once, and CC any email contact you can find for her. Save some time for you [IMG]

Google Blue slate turkeys, the picture pops up first page, from easternplains.com.

I think they stole them all....
