Something's wrong with my german chocolate cake!

Last night I baked DH a german chocolate cake (his favorite) for his birthday.

This afternoon before going to work, he asked for a piece of it. I brought the cake to the side of the kitchen table and removed the top on the cake saver while I went to get a plate and the cake cutter.

Come back and the frosting is missing from one whole side of the cake!
