Sorry, Carri and Jody, no Nugget in these pics. As usual, when the camera comes out, she disappears. Becca, doing her duty, paying her rent. If my DH and I ever divorce (fat chance), I'll name her as The Other Woman! She adores him. Dutch, my buddy and leader of this mottley crew. That's New Hampshire, Penny, behind him. Nelda, my eating machine. The other NH pullet, Lucy. Her eggs are so dark! Zane's daughter, Panda. Hope she lays green eggs, since her mama lays blue. Vada, named after the character in My Girl. Maddie. We call her Nurse Maddie, since she has to supervise all medical procedures. Nora, my younger Blue Ameraucana Nora, Snow, June and Nelda taste a pine tree. Margaret, named by beefy. Penny, named in memory of Spotted Crow's sweet girl Can you find the Welsummer egg? Well, duh!
Great pics!!! Your birds are beautiful...You have inspired me (not that it takes much) I am gonna run home and take some pics of my birds.
Nelda is the funniest girl. She runs all over, looking for food, whining like Olive Oyl. I have had to pull her out of someone's SUV she jumped into looking for a snack. Lord help us if we had an entire flock like her! She's sweet, but doesn't love being picked up-it interferes with her search for the perfect Nelda-snack!
Alright now where did you get that mille fleur colored hen. what breed? Love the golden laced too. Your flock as always very colorful and healthy looking.
Julie, Nelda is a Speckled Sussex that I hatched from eggs from Gina. She is a pretty thing, isn't she?
ok so now I need speckled sussex, true RIR, and Blue ameraucana ! That wellie egg is beautiful ! the whole flock looks great once mine go through the hard molt I will post more pics. Henry
I have a BO that lays dark eggs too. I just wish she didn't make such a production over it. I mean, she dances around, pecks at the others, runs back and forth yelling like a banshee and THEN goes in and lays her egg.
