I'm a little confused about this. My hens crop feels kind of soft instead of hard. but she doesn't smell so does she have sour or impacted crop. also she is very sleepy but she is drinking lots of water

The best time to feel a crop is early morning when it should be empty after not eating all night. Full and squishy or balloon-like usually means sour crop. Hard and full usually means impacted crop, perhaps with grass or something else. How old is the chicken?
