Hello all. I am completely new to chickens. I just finished my coop and I'm looking to buy 3-4 hens preferable around 6 months old. Does anyone know where I could find some in my area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

You might stop by your feed store. Lots of times people put up flyers with hens for sale. Have you considered chicks? Most feed stores carry chicks this time of year. Be careful of Craigslist as many times you buy sick birds, but this is an option.

You can also stop by our Buy Sell and Trade section and browse around. You might find something here...

Good luck and I hope you can find some birds soon!
