So far Salt Lake City and unincorporated Salt Lake County both have passed ordinances allowing chickens, and now South Salt Lake City is in the process of passing their own!
It's in the final stages of being written up, sitting with the city council, the Deputy Community Developer Michael Florence thinks everything should be done by mid June to early July.
They are allowing six hens in any singe-family home, no roos, and the coop has to be at least 40' from any dwelling, school or church.
Once the ordinances are written up, I will post the link here.
    Yay chickens!
(Shh, don't tell anyone I already have my coop built and four pullets in the brooder almost ready to go outside...)
