Soy or Fish meal?

I have been researching brands of chicken feed as my pullets are near POL. I would prefer an organic, non gmo feed.

Does anyone have concerns about fish meal? I'm thinking about the Fukushima nuclear plant and all the waste that went into the ocean.

Soy is something I avoid as much as possible, but if it's certified non gmo it may be the better option at this point.
Thoughts?

Go with both if you have the option. I would not use a feed that used fishmeal as the sole protein source for two reasons. First it would be too expensive and second it would impart a fishy taste to the eggs.

Some feeds use peas instead of soy, and some have crab and fish meal with peas. The Fertrell fish meal is organic I believe, not sure what parts of the ocean it is harvested in.
