space as they grow

I'm wondering how many expansions I will need to do <G> or can I get by in the space that they are in?
I have 12 - 2.5 week old chicks.

I'm trying to keep then entertained and reading what others are doing to keep them so.

the pen they are in is in the house it is 5 1/2' x 33"
so roughly 15 square feet.

Do you think I can keep them in this space until they are 8 weeks and can go outside?

Personally I would say you are ok for space. Just watch out for dominant birds that may need to be separated.
