FYI, chickens love, LOVE lobster roe. I'm a caterer and just gave my girls the roe from a couple dozen lobsters and they almost took off my fingers pecking so furiously.[IMG]

You should check your supplier. Most areas it is illegal to take lobster with roe.

When I saw the title, I just knew it would be someone feeding lobster to chickens. Lucky chickens.

Quote:I assume she means the internal roe, known as coral, and not the external eggs. Here in Maine, a "berried" lobster is strictly illegal.

Though why a caterer should be feeding lobster coral to her chickens and not as part of a compound butter to her clients is beyond me. In the right hands, coral and tomalley are the best parts.
