Speckled Sussex at 13 weeks

Thanks! Comb wise both of mine look like that, the only difference being the tail on one. What do speckled Sussex cockerel tails look like?

Does the tail matter for the gender of the chick?

Both are pullets.

X2 100%. White on the chest is definitely not always a tell.

They actually both have a lot of speckles in their chests.

I think so. My Nutmeg had a tall, pointy upright tail, but the smallest, palest little comb. She is now 18 weeks, and it isn’t much bigger.

Still, the bird with the smaller comb is definitely female, an I’m 90% sure on the other,

Wow! That tail screams roo, but it can’t be male with that comb. Is she an adult now?
