I looked at pictures of Spitzhaubens and none of them had black crests...Idk, what is it? Oh, and this black and white chick, its really small and always has its wings held really low-almost dragging on the ground. sorry about the bad pictures...Thanks

Looks like what I got as a BCW that turned out mismarked from Ideal. I know the pics aren't great, but you can see his coloring.

The second one is a mottled, possibly oegb or jap.

I don't think the second bird is a Japanese. I raise Black tailed white and the coloring is off and the proportions just aren't right (unless it is a funky bird). The legs look really long for a Jap and there is too much black on it's back. It also looks large to me. It should also have a "squirrel tail" at this point. Not sure what the heck it is!

Spitz's seem to vary a lot. I would say #1 is a Spitz hen.

As for #2

#1 looks a lot like my black crested white, Uh-Oh, the black on the back and chest goes away as they get older from what I've seen.

#2 is either a Ancona rooster or an exchequer leghorn rooster!!!
