Splash colored cochins

Being new to chicken genetics- it's going to take me some time to digest

I am curious if the Splash is always a combination of black and white feathers? And if Blue X Blue is how you get Splash, would it be possible to add another color like red or gold, etc?

I hope that question makes sense.

Blue to Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Black and 25% Splash chicks
Blue to Splash= 50% Blue and 50% Splash chicks
Splash to Splash = 100% Splash chicks tho this will wash out the chicks.

Thanks, I meant to say always blue and white- black doesnt make sense

So- it's not possible to have a different splash color other than blue and white? Shame, I really like the Splash, but would LOVE to see it in different colors. Off to study some genetics!
