Not sure this is right forum for this. How long do these things take to mature?! I have a splash Roo that is 8.5 months old and barely has a comb or waddles. He doesn't crow yet and weighs almost nothing. He does have the rooster feathering just wondering when hes going to be the big majestic rooster I've been reading so much about...Any input?!

He's been putting all his energy into growing height. Kinda like my Great Dane pup, they're skinny and very light the first year or so, then fill out later. He's quite a bit taller than your Rock hen, and he'll fill out after he stops growing taller. Slower to mature is better for the larger breeds, it usually lends itself to better overall health and longer life spans.

X2 on Donrae's advice. He'll fill in as he gets older.
