Splash or Paint Silkie?? I'm confused!

I do not understand what you have to breed to what to get Splash or Paint.

Thats a splash. To breed for splash you need to breed a splash to a blue or a splash or a blue to a blue. Here is how it works.

Black x black = 100% black
Black x blue = 50% blue 50% black
Black x splash = 100% blue
Blue x blue = 25% black 50% blue 25% splash
Blue x splash = 25% blue 75% splash
Splash x splash = 100% splash

As for the paint im not positive how it works out, i believe you should breed a paint to a black to increase the black. Not sure on that one tho.

So now all I need to do is get splash from another source to make sure I can get all splash by breeding splash to splash! Thanks for the chart. When you are new to breeding it is hard to find information. The folks here on BYC are are not only friendly, but obliviously knowledgeable as well....(when I did a general web search there was so much conflicting information I did not know what to think.)

One more question please... I have a splash roo. I know what I will get with the blue and black girls from this, but what about the white girl?

I've got a splash pullet... So cute! I would like to have more though... At first I couldn't stand mom's white silkie, so ugly! But after seeing her all motherly to all the baby chicks that mom has had hatched, you just can't help to like her... Plus she definitely grew on me... DH loves her too...
Anyway, she's got what I think may be a black roo which I'll be taking if it is...

I have too many chickens... Gotta expand yet again... Or maybe trade out with mom?
