BEAUTIFUL bird!! Very tame. I am very attached to him and this is a hard decision for me. I am no longer raising chickens and don't need him. I hatched him out from some eggs I bought from Sassy Silkies. He is 100% correct and very, very nice quality. Shipping not available due to the hot weather. Located in Homer, Georgia (Banks county)
He was born December 11 2009.

I always thought s/he was a hen too, but s/he has a big comb and wattles (suddenly... this is an older pic). No crowing yet. I will get more pictures this evening...

Some hens have larger combs than others, but either way.......... very nice looking bird. But, my guess is a hen/pullet.

wow! I was looking for silkie chickens when I was first looking into getting into chickens, and BAM! You are about 20 minutes from me, but I have decided to go another route and my hubby would kill me if I get another chicken right now. Just my luck! Good luck with your auction though! [IMG]

Beautiful bird, I'd have to say a Pullet/Hen. I have quite a few hens that are laying that have bigger combs than that, and I know for sure they are girls [IMG] Are Splashes supposed to have that brownish color in them?
