I'm not good at sexing Silkies, but with those longer streamers on the head poof I think it is a roo. I think girls have more even, rounded poofs.

That's what I thought. 8 months old and only just started crowing a couple of times. The perfect gentleman, so far. Looked like a snowman with the crest as a chick so he was dubbed "Snowman."
