**Splash Silkies - Pictures**

Discussion in 'General breed discussions & FAQ' started by SundownWaterfowl, Oct 17, 2010.

  1. Here's a couple pictures of some of my young splash silkies I took this afternoon. What do you think of the coloring? Never had splash before.

    Beautiful!

The 2nd and 4th picture almost look like lavenders... Not splash.

Muddyhorse! Loving my splashes. No fertile eggs yet. [IMG] Stinkin fluff butts.

I agree with the light blue... primaries are dark so I wouldn't think lavender...

I'm thinking the same, #4 also has a soft coloring to it, relaxing nearly. [IMG]

  8. Thanks.
So 2 & 4 are light blues then. [IMG]

This is my light blue hen, she was kinda like those when she was that age.

This one is now all light blue in color so you can see how much they can change.

So blues can come in different shades? I have some birds, they hatched out and looked like blue chicks, but as they are getting older, im thinking they might be blacks.
