splayed leg, favoring good leg.

i noticed yesterday that my chick was hopping and tumbling and notice one of the legs was splayed so immediately i applied the bandaid. Ive had to change it once (was falling off) and now i noticed the chick doesnt let the leg touch the ground. Do I apply a splint or make a chick chair? This is my first time and I dont want to mess up the leg any futher

Make sure that it has splay leg and not a slipped achilles tendon. Both legs are usually apart in splay leg, and with a slipped tendon one leg may turn outward. Here are a couple of links to read:

thanks so much.. I tried some of the suggestions and it didnt seem to work. I think ill try again but give the chickie a little break, heres a pic (just cut the bandaid) if that helps
