I have 6 black copper marans hens that just started laying, and some of the eggs have spots or specks of what appears to be color pigment in them. What could this be? Will it clear up?

I think that just happens with the dark layers my Marans had the same thing all the time. It should be fine :)

No they always have it, even the ones I've bought from other people have it, I think it's just extra color that seeps through and it's so dark we see it

Some of my BCM eggs have speckles sometimes. It does look like pigment. Most the time the eggs are dark & sometimes they have spots :)

The speckled one is from a young BCM hen. The other 2 are sexlink eggs. The other BCM eggs are dark like the spots on this one.

Actually, I ment on the yoke or inside the egg white. (Little specks inside of the eggs.)
