I have several eggs that are about 7 days along and they are spotted like this one is but show no sign of any growth. However, I have 2 that are at day 9 that appear to be progressing just as they should be. I have seen the spider like vessels in both ....etc but they have spots similar to the picture but are not quiet as bad. Is it some disease to be concerned with or just thin shells?? I'm sure it's in another thread somewhere but I have had no luck finding it. Thanks in advance

That's porous shells. It could mean your chickens need more calcium. I've also heard it's more common for chickens in higher elevations to have more porous eggs. I've also heard older eggs can look like that. But, I've seen eggs that were laid the day before look like that.

I've had quite a few spotty eggs like that and had them hatch just fine.

Yes, that egg is definitely alive and doing well!

As long as you see those veins, the egg is alive and growing.
