sprouted wheat?

I have half a trash can of wheat, that the chickens are not fond of. Unless I sprout it. Then they go nuts! They do not have much for greens in their run and I am wondering how often I could give them some of the sprouted wheat? I know they mainly need their laying feed, but they really enjoy the sprouts.

I was also thinking of letting some grow, to be more grass like and tossing that in. but just wanting to figure out how often I should be sprouting some for them.

And anything else you've had good luck sprouting? The wheat is ridiculously easy and in 3 days, its pretty well sprouted.

So long as the sprouted wheat isn't more than 10% of their total feed, go for it! It's good for them.

Great! I usually just rip a hunk off when I go down in the morning and spread it out between the flock. Im sure it will really be welcome when its snowy
