As a native species, I believe keeping them would be illegal.

No, Idk about your state, but all you need in the state of michigan is a wildlife in captivity permit, as that's all I need for ruffed grouse. But they go for a pretty penny, that's all I have.

Very pretty birds... Watch where she nests and you can hatch out her eggs... They look like Ruffed grouse greys but not 100% sure
