How much space should I allot per duck for mallards, both outside and in the coop?

What is the optimal male to female ratio? I know I am way off right now with more males than females. But it would be helpful to know many females I need to get for them to be in balance.

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I'm not a duck keeper but I see you have already in the duck section. I'm sure the other duck keepers there will be able to help you. The learning centre also has a good section on ducks that you might like to check out ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Hi and welcome to BYC. Sorry, I'm not a duck person either. As well as the learning centre, you could always post your question on the duck forum.

    All the best

Too many males and they will greatly overbreed your hens. Your best advice will come from the duck folks themselves.
