squash bugs...

    Will chickens avoid squash bugs? I tried to feed some to mine and they ignored them I heard they are raleted to stink bugs and maybe they don't taste too good.

    My chickens eat them as a snack. Go figure.

    Try it again, maybe put a few under a rock or something and then "call" them like a rooster would to a treat and they will get the idea.


    Ours thought grapes were hazmat the first time we offered them. After a few minutes they were grabbing and running so no one else would take theirs

    My girls turn their noses up to squash bugs.

    Mine won't touch them. I tried calling them over to them..nothing. Tried handing them out like treats...nothing. Even tried alternating them with grasshoppers...didn't fool them one bit.

    I know mine certainly don't enjoy stink bugs, that's for sure!!
