So my new hens seem to have had rooster friends before they got here, because the eggs they laid that I cooked appeared to be fertilized. I went on-line and bought a weensy little incubator that can supposedly hold three eggs. I'm just itching to find out if these eggs are really fertile, or if the new hens are just playing with my head.

Quote:My pullets, whom I raised from a young age, have never met an adult rooster and are all aspirants to the Order of St. Fluffybutt the Celibate.

The hens come from the Sisterhood of Free Range Indulgence and are a bit more worldly, if you catch my meaning.

Quote:I wouldn't call them pushers, but there's a rumor some have been seen hanging out around school yards with trench coats with pockets sewn into them to hold row after row of fuzzy hatchlings.
