Stallings, NC Ordinance Change Attempts

hi everyone! I'm new here, the forum as well as Stallings NC. I really want a few chickens in our yard but I am told I need two acres for chickens here. I saw in 2009 some boyscouts tries to change the ordinances but it doesn't look like it was successful. Is anyone currently working on this or interested in starting??? Seems stupid that in charlotte and matthews you can have them but not here. Help!!!

Last year I brought this to the council and they did a pilot program (not sure if it’s officially changed now!) to see how many people would actually get chickens (they imagined a whole chicken fiasco with an overrun of people totally slamming animal control) so here is the link: https://www.stallingsnc.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=9ICuo611B80=&portalid=0

Are you still on here and in stallings NC? If so, do you want to work to get this ordinance changed? I think change will come if we get a lot of collective voices together to change this ordinance.​
