For all the highs and lows of farm life, bad days, frozen days and rainy gloomy days,
For the struggle of life, the disappointments and the depressing gut wrenching days,
When the power to save a life is out of your hands,
The sun always rises the next day, and life goes on.
As it should be.

Yesterday was filled with fog, rain and gloomy grey clouds and the death of a long awaited kid.

Today is filled with blue skies, birds singing, sunshine and my first turkey eggs are hatching.

I have poults today.

I am very thankful for the experience that is my life.

Photos when they start drying out.

I just didn't realize turkeys would be so cute with their big eyes. I hatched them for my dad, but he doesn't want all 10 as I wasn't expecting that many to hatch, so he said I could keep a couple. I'm very excited.

If you handle them a lot, will the be friendly?

Nothing better then getting a bunch of newly hatched poults !!! Good luck with them and sorry to hear your loss on the other end, but that is farm life, most of the time fun and exciting and then some of the sad days, but soon to be all forgotten with the good days.
