Standard Cochin Eggs??

If anyone out there has some pics of their standard cochin eggs, could you please post them for me?

I have three cochin hens that were hatched last April, so I'm hoping they will start laying anytime, even though I know they're not famous for their egg laying. I've read their eggs are supposed to be light brown? Is this right? I have a RIR and BO that lay brown eggs, and white leghorns that lay white eggs, and I've seen a few that I can only describe as off white. Is that my beloved cochin beauties finally earning their keep around here?

I need something to compare these eggs to. How often do your cochins lay?

Our exhibition birds lay brown eggs that are a shade darker than most of the eggs our Buff Orps give.

Yes they do have light brown eggs, i don't have any pics on hand (there still in my camera) and since i'm new on byc as well... I still have to figure out how to post pics

Each egg varies though, some are a tiny bit darker... some have a tiny speckles... some pure light brown eggs.

My Black & Blue Girls lay a light Tan egg, but my Partridge lays what I would call Off White or Cream

Lockedhearts --- It is sort of light tan. I bet it is their eggs. I have a splash, blue, and black.

I wish i had all those colors too!

Here we have black Cochins. We are going back to buy silver/greyish color from the person we bough these from. As well as i am getting in contact with someone here in our province for the buff color and i am going to try and find more colors.

We are building our own incubator tonight and i think i'm going to buy fertile eggs to hatch if all goes well!

I have a friend who raises only BBS Cochins, they show their birds, their eggs range from Light Tan to Brown all from the BBS.
