    Just wondering if its legal to shoot them. We have a HUGE flock that comes thru and they clean all the feeders and they poop on everything. We have tried the starling traps but they dont really work.

    Michael,

    It is legal to kill them. They are considered an invasive species. You can also kill the house sparrow, just make sure you identify them first.

    Yes, because they are an invasive species, like English Sparrows, Snakeheads and Monk Parakeets.

    We have flocks of hundreds over winter here. I had to take down my feeders [​IMG] Sometimes the sky is black with them.

    Remington 870, no plug, #7 shot, drop 'em by the dozen with each shot. Haven't had to repeat.
