Hello everyone out there with small chicken businesses. I have a small flock of my own and I am using them for eggs, no meat. I sell the eggs to friends and family and such. However I am thinking of the possibility of starting my own little business. I mean we have our own Ranch where we have horse back riding lessons, birthday parties, and camps. The chickens would be an entirely different business though, but I'm not entirely sure where to start. I've only had birds for eggs, no meat, but I might be considering doing meat birds to sell around our local area. Here let me just do it this way.
Things I might be interested in doing:
I have some understanding of the regulations and rules to selling chicks and fertile eggs and I've tried looking into meat and breeding, but I really can't quite understand it all...... Would anyone be able to explain anything from the list above to me... I mean anything would be appreciated and thanked immensely!!!! I would love to hear stories how other people started their little backyard businesses with their chickens.
