Starting over with a new flock.

Hi there. I have had chickens before, but do to some miss fortunes they are no longer with me. Now I am at a new place and getting ready to build a new flock. Not sure of any particular breed, I mainly like to mix things up a bit.

Hi. Welcome to BYC. I have found some very interesting threads on this site including Growing Fodder for Chickens and Fermenting Feeds for Meat Birds. I think there is also another thread for fermenting feed too. My chickens LLOOOVVVVEEE the fermented feed and won't eat their regular ground grain unless they are desperate.

Thanks guys! I am looking forward to getting to know everybody here and having a flock of chickens again. I am also looking into getting some guineas and possibly a few ducks. It's going to be a fun time at the ole homestead over the next couple of months getting an area cleared and coops built.
