It is going to be warm for a few days...spring fever...starting to collect eggs for incubator...need a few answers please...

How long can eggs wait...as we need to collect 30 or 40...any where from 4 to 6 to 12 a day...

What is a safe temp...for?

Do not clean correct...?

Oval for hens ?

Pointy for Roosters?

Cure for barn chicken addiction...?

Would rather have a hen be the mom...anyone in the Denver area with a broody Cochin...?

Thanks

7 days before you start to lose hatch rate %age

What is a safe temp...for?

Room temperature for holding eggs pre-incubation

Do not clean correct...?

Do not wash, wipe with a dry soft cloth instead. If there is "stuff" stuck on the egg that is dry, you can use very fine sandpaper and gently sand it off.

Pointy for Roosters?

Not so far as I know -- this is a wonderful old wives tale, try it out for yourself if you want to, but not likely.

Cure for barn chicken addiction...?

Thanks
