I have just found a cache of 9 eggs where my girl has been secretly laying in the garden for the last two weeks. Could any of them be usable or should I get rid of them? Isn't there some trick where you float them?
    Grateful for any advice...

Just candle them and see how their air pockets look. Or if you float them and they sink, you can still use them.

I always do the float trick (the hazzards of free-range [IMG] ), if they sink they're good if they float they're trash. [IMG]

Thanks for your instant responses! This was a perfect experiment for my 9 year old son to carry out! I am hardboiling the good ones as we speak..
