Staying in the big coop?

Big question, the babies are outside and in a makeshift wire pen inside the big girl coop. They are about 5 weeks and almost feathered. We live in southern Texas. So my question is, how long do they stay in that temp pen before I let them out to free range? I have 6 big hens already free ranging and coming into the coop at night. Will they do the same?

I generally let mine out after a week or two of separate penning. They don't go far initially and I make sure I round them up in the late afternoon for a while and keep them penned separately at night until I'm comfortable leaving them out. Generally between 3-4 months of age.
