Steinbachers here in the UK

    I know that Steinbachers are beginning to grow in momentum in the States, and thought you might be interested to see some pics of three of my current year birds here in the UK.

    I'm looking forward to seeing how your Steins compare to them when I visit Ohio next month.

    They are by far the most beautiful of all goose breeds.
    Would love to own a pair again but so rare.

    Stunning birds. I saw some Steinbachers for sale in Scotland a little while back.
    Yours have shorter, thicker necks and different shaped heads to the ones I´ve noticed before, these are more like the European goose-shape.
    Apparently you can get something that looks very much like Steinbachers by crossing certain breeds. I may be tempted to try that one day. [​IMG] But not where I live right now, as I can´t get the ones I´d need very easily.
