My girls are all 21 weeks old, no eggs yet.
It has been very cold and dreary the past few months here in Pa.

Anyone else have any around the same age, and still waiting?

(I have Barred Rocks, Dominiques and Rhode Island Red )

Any day now! It's tough being patient, but rest assured not laying at 21 weeks, in the winter no less, is not unusual. I'm sure you will have good news to report soon. The nice thing is, with young hens like that, once they start laying you will have lots of eggs! Good luck

This should make you feel better...

I typically wait 8 months to a year for my Silkie pullets to start laying. I'm very pleased if they start by 6 months. I miss the short wait for production breeds. Hang in there!

I guess I spoke too soon...
This was in the nesting box today.
It must have been that warm pancake I gave them last evening. Lol

Is it pink? Awesome! Alas, my chickens will never lay. 26 weeks.

But, they are cute. I swear Hattie, my psychochicken squatted for me when I opened their run today.

It does look pink... Lol
It is brown though, with some darker brown speckles

I'm crossing my fingers for you, that your girls will lay soon.
I know the wait is terrible.
