Hello, I'm hatching eggs in my classroom for the first time this year. I began with 12 eggs, and 8 have successfully hatched. (Yesterday morning) They are in a different container now, fluffy and happy. The next 2 were not so good, as they hadn't absorbed their yolk sac entirely. One died last night, and one died today around noon. That leaves 2 eggs in the incubator. The real problem is, after those unsuccessful hatches, my incubator stinks in the worst way. Removing the dead chick nearly caused me to upchuck, the smell was so horrible. I changed the disgusting water out with fresh, thinking that would help, but it still reeks. There's still hope for the final two eggs, but what, if anything, can I do about the smell? Thanks!
