    Stinky cheese, oh how I love thee.
    We stopped by the Sweetgrass Dairy store in Thomasville, GA this weekend. Amongst other things, I bought a pound of their "Asher Blue".

    It is so very good.

    Even better on a warm piece of bread right out of the oven.

    OOOoooh that looks amazing. Does it taste anything like Stilton? I adore Stilton.

    Food Porn! LOL - I LOVE bleu cheese! Especially on hot Italian or French bread. With red wine. MMMMMM!

    KenK;
    that bleu looks A-mazing!
    if you want to think you have died & gone to heaven, try drizzling some honey on that cheese & crackers or bread.
    Or better yet: if you can find fig jam smear a dab on top

    Quote:I gave it a try with raspberry jam and pepper jelly. Neither one really did it for me though both were quite tasty.

    Don't really like honey but decided to try it anyway. The honey really makes the ammonia notes pop. That is one of the things I like about this particular cheese, lots of "funk" without the strong ammonia. My wife ate all her daddy's fig preserves up so I can't try that.

    What would be awesome is some good salume. I'm more a salty/savory person than sweet.

    Some thinly sliced shallot and thyme was crazy good.
