stop feeding a hen layer pellets and take away the oyster shells?

if a hen is having trouble laying eggs, or has a real egg problem, (soft shells, or no shells)

If you stop feeding a hen layer pellets and take away the oyster shells. would that help the hen? so she would not lay eggs any more?????

or should you try to give her more calcuim?

I don't believe you can make a hen stop laying so I would vote for more calcium. If she is laying soft shelled eggs often that is prob what is going on. I'm sure someone else will chime in to help ya out who knows more though
