Stopped turning quail today

i stopped turning quail today on day 14 so now im on the wait for 2 to 4 days i hope they hatch

I put mine in the hatching tray last night, today is day 15,

Update just check my eggs 9 are piped right now,hoping to see some
quail babies soon .I have 24 eggs

when do they pip? im new to quail

mine started at 15 days this is my frist time hatching quail.this is kinda new to me also.

On my first batch I had a bunch pip on day 13, and even though they started early, the hatch took five days to complete (there were over 60 eggs total). The buttons were done first, and some of the coturnix took a lot longer than the rest...prolly from me opening the hatcher to take the older hatchlings out.

O, yea, I guess I forgot my point lol.

I didn't stop turning at all b/c I thought I had till day 18, since they were coturnix, and I thought day 13 was when I was supposed to stop turning the buttons.

OOPS!

They still hatched, and are now three weeks old!

I have 6 hatched 8:00 pm day 16 with more on there way out.
this is my 1st time hatching quail,

they sure tiny..

Congrats on your little peepers!!

They are so itty bitty it's hard to just let them dry off...make sure you get them food and water BEFORE the 12 hour after-hatching mark!

They do not get the same amount of time to get their bodies in gear that other birds do...think more like a hummingbird metabolism lol. Congrats on your babies! Good luck with the rest!
