Next town over, 12:00 Saturday.

I don't know how many units are being auctioned. Neither
do I know how they will be sold.

I have seen them sold BEFORE cutting the padlock, and I have
seen them sold after cutting the padlock. We've bought a few but
never any major money or really cool stuff.

Anyone else ever do these auctions? Coolest thing you've ever gotten?

And like the Farm Boy, I'm a curious kind. For those of you that may have
a rented storage building, do you keep really expensive stuff there? I know
that show on tv, but I don't really believe it. I've personally never seen any
high dollar items fall out of these auctions.

Also the local bank repo auction Saturday...six-seven cars, two farm tractors
and one pull camper. Nothing exciting.

Thursday--tomorrow-- is our local "farmer's market", I would love to go. I just
don't have time. If I had time to go to town, I need some stuff from the hardware
store.

Most expensive thing we ever kept in ours was 100s of pounds of wheat, beans, corn, and whatnot.

That was pretty much it, except for some extra dishes and boxes of VHS tapes.
Yeah, we're weird.

I've seen some nice things sent to them, I live in a town where 1/2 of the residents are over 65, often when granny is sent from her home to the nursing home, or once she's passed, and the house needs to be emptied to sell, they'll just box up everything and send it to storage. I have an impressive collection of depression glassware and art deco cocktail rings.
