Strange behavior of young goose ??

We have a young goose - maybe 2 months old or so and he acts like a young foal trying to walk. Husband found him in the yard upside down and brought him inside. Kept him on the porch for a day or two - gave him vitamins and put him back out - he went upside down again and couldn't turn over. He acts fine and healthy - except for being unsteady on his feet (like a human having a case of vertigo) and falling over and not being able to get back on his feet under his own power. Suggestions on what is wrong and how do I treat him?

That thread is about a chubby duckling, Karen. Karen also did the turtle maneuvre for a few weeks. Not all the time, but once in a while she would turn upside down and not be able to turn over. The owner went a little lighter on the feed for a while and that solved the problem.

He is the same size as the rest - does not appear overweight. He walks like Lurch of the Adams family - like he has weights on the bottom of his feet. I let him swim in the bath tub and he did fine - kinda spraddled his legs some but his legs are not deformed.
