I have a black australorpe that often struts around with her feathers all fluffed up like miniature turkey. She clucks a lot and, lately, she has exhibited brooding behavior. I think she has issues, but I don't know what they can be. Any ideas.

Sounds like what I call a walking broody, they act like they are broody but they don't sit in the boxes continuously and they usually continue to lay eggs.

I have an oppington that's been doing that before and after a full broody cycle. Poor thing is so confused! I've tried leaving her in gen pop like that to see if it will pass, but I usually find her sitting on the empty nest within a day. Input her in a rabbit cage, in view of her friends, with plenty of food & water, until she snaps out of it. Can sometimes take 3-5 days.
