Strange Rooster Behaviors anyone??

    Every time (or almost every time) I go into the Chicken coop, Tommy (a Delaware Rooster) Fluffs himself up and growls, and sideseteps up to me!! here Is a video... I Finally caught him in the act! Mind if I ask what he's doing?

    It's a dominance move on his part. He's telling you that it's his coop and those are his girls and don't forget that fact. He doesn't want to 'kill you' - not yet, but it is a possible progression that may have to be dealt with. He is a beauty.

    Oh yeah, I wish that was all my silkie roo was doing to me. Today he attacked me twice. Funny thing is, he used to be sweetest Roo I had. I'm getting ready to give him a cervical dislocation. Today he got a steel toed boot to the beak. Not hard of course, but enough for him to back off.

    Soon afterward, he began mauling, and then last night was the last straw. he got me in the face. not gonna put up with that anymore!!
