strange unknown growth?

Hello, I have had my girls about 1year and one of my girls has a large hard growth on the neck by her ear. HELP she hasn't layer an egg in 6 days seems to be getting a little better but I would like to know how to treat her?
it grew really fast.

I would do a search at the top of this page for ear infection, and look at some of the threads about how to treat. My guess is that your chicken either has an ear infection or a tumor, but since it looks to be right where the ear should be, I would think infection.
