What are the strangest places you've found eggs or nests?

We just found a clutch of eggs and a Banty hen inside a large galvanized watering can that sits in our front flower bed! Goofy hen! Genius hiding spot.[IMG]

My Black Star hen Blackie is a master at weird nesting spots (she thinks nest boxes are overrated).
    They involve...

On top of a straw bale with little space between the fence and the bale (found about 7 eggs there).

In the garage using grill instructions as nesting material.

On a basket of gloves and hats.

In a deep tote partly filled with straw.

In a dog crate filled with straw inside the house.

In an empty wheelbarrow (every time she laid an egg, it would roll to the other side).

My banty wellsummer likes to lay her eggs by the door but sometimes a weird mood hits her and she lays them as far under the shed as she can get. I can't get them out from under here so they have sat for at least two months. I can see 8 but I think there are more that I can't see. Not even my cats can get that far under there.... (sighs) I wish she liked the nest box.
