Stringy piece of reddy orange coming out of hens bum

i have a 2 nearly 3 month old female brahma and when i went out this morning her crop was hard and she was acting normal with normal amount of energy but had a string piece of reddy/orange colour stuff coming from her bum. any ideas what it could be? i have pictures but there not very good.

It looks as though a stringy piece of shed intestinal lining got caught in the fluff/feathers on her rear end. Use scissors to trim back fluff/feathers for a clear "shot" to the ground when she excretes feces. If you dont, feces stuck on the rear end will invite flies causing fly strike. Then there will be big problems.
