Ok, I was surprised we did not have a stuffing thread going this year. So here it is. I am working on stuffing for goose so am looking for lots of different recipes. Come list yours and lets get creative.

Here is our turkey stuffing that I make from scratch.

    Mushroom Stuffing Tamaras way

Bread cubes made from homemade bread or a store bought loaf. You will need 10 cups of cubes. ( not package stuffing bag) Dry cubes before using oven works well for this or cut a couple days ahead to let air dry.

    3/4 butter
    1/2 or more mushrooms
    2 cup diced celery
    1 1/2 cup chopped onions
    3 TBLS parsley
    1 clove of garlic
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp poultry seasoning
    1/2 tsp pepper
    3 eggs beaten

In a large saucepot over medium heat melt butter and cook onions, cerlery and mushrroms till tender add seasonins.
Mix bread +eggs add mushrooms mix then stuff turkey.

This is a moist stuffing so one can use alot on a turkey. I am able to stuff a 15pound turkey with this and have nothing left over.

My mom's recipe is far and away my fave. We sautee onions, celery, a few carrots, garlic, walnuts and bulk sausage. Add some poutry seasoning then combine with bread cubes and chicken stock. [IMG]
