Stupid Chickens!

Its raining here, tornado warnings and all. All the chickens are in the coop UNTIL it starts hailing! Now they are all out getting the poop beat out of them feasting on hailstones! its funny.

Speaking of stupid chickens. I was mixing compost soil with perlite the other day while the ladies were free roaming. I had to kick them back to the coop because they were eating the perlite like it was popcorn. Wouldn't leave me the heck alone. Is there something with white fluffy things they like or something?

Being new to chickens as I am, have not yet gotten used to precautions you have to take. I was out adjusting the automatic waterer. You have to take off two little screws. I laid them on the stand the waterer is on while I adjusted the float........
